<p>The aim of Basic B Sc nursing programme is to train the students to develop the ability to assimilate and synthesize knowledge, cultivate critical thinking skills in care strategies so as to achieve competencies in health care practices in all settings. At the end of the programme, students are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills to pursue a career in Nursing.</p><p>Vimalalaya College of Nursing is recognized under Government of Karnataka affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health science ( RGU/AFF/VNC/ blr/ Fr.Bsc (N) 2022 -23,and recognized by Indian nursing council  ( 18 – 15 / 16317 – INC dated 16/04/2024) Karnataka    nursing council (KNC)  for its suitability.</p>

<p>Its vision is to experience God’s love in its fullness through compassionate and utmost health care. It began as a small hospital with 10 beds and has grown to a super specialty hospital. It is one of the reputed health care facilities run by catholic religious sisters in Bangalore. The hospital conducts free mobile clinics that provide preventive, curative and rehabilitative services to the poor and needy in the rural areas. To extent the scope of nursing education service, the Trust has decided to start a Basic B.Sc. Nursing programme affiliated to RGUHS, Bangalore.</p>

<p>The minimum age for admission will be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.<br />The maximum age limit for admission will be 35 years.</p>

<p><strong>Library Facilities:</strong> It is spacious and well-equipped with nursing reference books, thesis, daily issuing books and Periodicals. At present, more than 2000 books are placed in the library. International and National Journals are available in the library.</p>

<p>Vimalalaya College is attached to its own parent hospital having a 200-bed capacity. It is a multi specialty hospital having Medical, Surgical, Paediatric, Gynaecology/Obstetrics, Dental, Neurology, Emergency Medicine, Cardiology and Urology departments with all supportive facilities. Apart from the parent hospital, the college is affiliated to government and private hospital to provide clinical experience and community experience are provided in rural and urban community health centres. </p>
